Our rates are highly competitive at $75/hour*. Patriot Tech offers a wide variety of installation, upgrade, repair services and can assist you in resolving most problems. We can add memory, hard drives, DVD’s, and multimedia capabilities that will extend the life of your system. In addition, our staff is trained to diagnose and repair your hardware problems, clean viruses and replace dead components.  Dropped computers with broken plastics/screens and those with liquid damage are the most time intensive and expensive repairs.

Drop off your system anytime – no appointment needed. Most items are repaired in 5-7 business days. On campus pick-up or delivery service is available for $10 from your residence hall or car. Just call to make arrangements in advance.

Know Your Warranty Terms

1*–Know your Dell warranty terms

Many people are confused by the warranty terms and conditions. Your Dell warranty does not cover the diagnosis, installation and replacement of failed parts that Dell defines as Customer Replaceable Units” (CRU). These are parts that Dell believes are “customer installable”. If you submit a service repair request that contains only CRU parts, then you would be responsible for the labor charges for installation. Dell warranties do not cover software issues. These could be virus related, corrupted drivers, or similar software issues that cause your computer to not function properly. In order to repair or install software, you will need to provide the original disks and serial numbers. In cases where a repair is needed on software or a CRU part, we will give you an estimate for your labor costs if it will exceed the minimum $50 initial diagnostic fee. This fee is “waived” and paid by Dell for warranty work that involves a technician to install them (FRU, field replaceable unit).

We can perform service on Dell systems purchased elsewhere. However, like CRU parts, Dell will only provide the part to us and will not pay for your labor charges. You would be responsible for labor charges and will be given an estimate once the initial diagnostics are done if the charges will exceed the $50 initial diagnostic fee. You may also call Dell direct and use any available service route they offer.

2*– Know your Apple warranty terms

All warranty service and repair is not “Free”. Your Apple warranty does not cover the diagnosis, installation and replacement of parts that Apple defines as “user replaceable”. In order to repair or install software, you may need to provide the original disks and serial numbers if it is not available to you on-line. In all cases, we will give you an estimate for your labor costs before beginning work past your initial diagnosis fee.

We can perform service on Apple systems purchased elsewhere. However, loaner equipment is reserved for customers purchasing directly with us. You may also call Apple and use any available service route they offer including other Apple certified repair centers and the Apple Retail stores.

Know your Safeware Policy terms

All warranty service and repair msut be approved by Safeware. We reserve the right to send your system to Safeware for repair if we are unable to make a timely repair in house for any reason. In order to repair or install software, you may need to provide the original disk(s) and serial number(s). In all cases, we will give you an estimate for your costs before beginning work past your initial diagnosis fee.

We can perform Safeware service on systems purchased elsewhere. However, loaner equipment is reserved for customers purchasing their systems and Safeware directly with us. You may also call Safeware and use any available service route they offer including other Safeware certified repair centers.
